Past & Upcoming Projects
I found that understudying for this production was the perfect way to put my understudying process to the test. This play is emotionally intense, word heavy, and physically demanding from the very first moment. Jackie is a rich and challenging role with an action-packed track throughout the play. It was extremely rewarding to invest my time into finding my own version of Jackie that felt authentic to me while also being sure to hit all the technical marks to align with my main cast counterpart.
I had a great time working with this team and enjoyed our understudy performance immensely!
In Spring of this year, I understudied the role of Jackie in Parker Players Theater Company’s production of MAURITIUS by Theresa Rebeck
I cannot express just how much I enjoyed working on this project! It was so much fun to travel with this amazing team and get so see some parts of the US I’ve never been to. I’m also a big history fan so it was so interesting to dive into such an important historical moment.
Playing the role of Marge Slayton, wife to astronaut Deke Slayton, was also a highlight of this experience. It was fascinating and rewarding to step into the shoes of a real person, especially someone whose voice has been largely lost to history.
Earlier this year I was cast as Marge Slayton in Griffin Theatre Company’s production of ASTRONAUT GROUP 1
In the Summer of 2024 I understudied the character of Erika in Pegasus Theatre Chicago’s production of DONTRELL, WHO KISSED THE SEA.
This experience proved to be so valuable in several ways. First off, I absolutely love this play and feel so lucky to have had the chance to work on it. Secondly, the role of Erika felt like a new kind of challenge not only because I got to work on my American dialect over this process. Thirdly, this project really gave me the opportunity to refine my own personal understudying strategies!
Working on Metropolis’ 2023 production of A CHRISTMAS CAROL was an absolute blast!
It was an honor to play Mrs. Cratchit, Storyteller 2, and Rich Woman. Plus, I got to flex my understudy muscles when I had to absorb roles of Alice and Charity Woman 1 in a fast-pasted matinee performance!
I’m privileged to have worked on First Folio Theatre’s Jeff Recommended production of JEEVES INTERVENES for which I understudied Gertrude Winklesworth-Bode!
I am thrilled to have played Sorel Bliss in City Lit Theater Company’s recent production of HAY FEVER by Noel Coward!
